How can I cut my water bill without killing my plants?

Can I save money by installing one of the new 'Smart Controllers'?
Yes, many properties can reduce irrigation costs by 10% to 15% depending on the controller
installed and if it is allowed to operate fully in the 'Smart' mode
Usually the amount of reduction in water use with the installation of a 'Smart Controller' alone is limited to 8% to 15%.
Keeping the plants healthy under an aggressive water management program usually requires some kind of modification to the irrigation coverage system [i.e. without POC or Distribution retrofit]
