Bob Baier

It is with great sadness that our families and AquaSave Inc. announce the passing of Co-Founder and Technical Director Bob Baier on October 19, 2010 while vacationing with his wife, Lynn, in Hawaii.

Bob devoted his entire life to the landscape and irrigation industry spanning a career of over forty-five years. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Soil Science and Agronomy, Bob was an industry leader in soils, plant science, and irrigation. As a past State President and Life Member of the California Landscape Contractor's Association (CLCA), Bob led the Xeri-Scape water conservation movement of the early 1980's and was instrumental in furthering this and many other vital water conservation programs.
In 2008, Bob Baier and Bob Simpson Co-Founded AquaSave™ Inc. and [th e] "AquaSave - The Smart Irrigation Network" in response to the demand for a higher level of landscape water conservation. With Bob Baier's extensive knowledge and experience in landscape water conservation AquaSave developed water auditing systems, member support programs, and methods for executing water saving retrofits and Design-Build projects for the public. These innovative systems and methods position the network and the AquaSave team well for moving forward with its planned growth throughout the South West. Bob's diligence and devotion to AquaSave are deeply appreciated by all who are involved with AquaSave.
